As the Launch Agency Summer Intern, I have been learning the ropes of agency life and discovering the truth in being a copywriter. It has been a great experience.
I am ecstatic to be working with such a talented group of individuals. Even though I’ve only been here a short while, I’ve started to learn the value of an internship – the stuff you won’t find in a classroom. While working on my personal portfolio, I could do whatever in my ads and creativity always beat practicality. However, I have learned that REAL advertising is a well-balanced mixture of the two that begins with a consumer insight and a well-crafted communication strategy.
My days are filled with concepting for clients, writing articles for the Launch Pad, and even venturing to a photo shoot or two; that is the true glory of being an intern. I’ve gotten to see aspects of real-world advertising that never would have been possible without this opportunity.
When I first visited the Launch Agency website I could just tell it had to be a cool place to work. I was right.

On your mark, get set, Fiesta! With the Fourth of July weekend looming, the team at Launch showed off their creativity in the kitchen with a Tex-Mex Taste-Off contest, featuring recipes in three taste-tempting challenges.
Battling in the GuacOff® were Aspen Taylor, Alison “Kansas” Hamilton, and Richard Wezensky. After a close vote Alison took the Championship, with sour cream as her secret “not-in-Kansas-anymore” ingredient.
Next, with two entries in the Queso Contest, Ashley O’Beirne was crowned Queso Queen.
Finally, Ashley and Launch Principal, Michael Boone, went head-to-head in the Salsa Showdown where Michael took the title.
Kitchen creativity was also taken to a whole new level with KC Defranco’s 7-Layer-Dip (which resembled an American flag) and Megan Kelly’s Mexi-Cake (which resembled the Mexican flag).
Hungry yet? Feel free to contact any of our team for their winning recipes.

Launch Agency just celebrated its 6th anniversary in true Launch fashion — with food! The venue? Cowboy Chow in Dallas’ Deep Ellum to eat, drink, be merry and reflect on six years of hard work, fun and success.
Before digging into their chow, everyone had to “sing for their supper.” The day’s theme: This I Believe. Each Launcher was required to stand up and deliver their thoughts on the topic. Some were scripted, some were ad-libbed, some funny, others poignant, but all provided a personal insight.
As for the food, Cowboy Chow was a treat! All diets and calorie counting were forgotten for one filling, memorable lunch. Little touches — not the least of which was the camaraderie and stellar conversation — made the celebration delightful.
Food has always been an important part of the Launch culture. So, it is said, working at Launch means always saving room for dessert…
