Launch Participates in SMU EMBA Entrepreneur Coaching
We were honored to once again work with John Terry’s Southern Methodist University Executive MBA Entrepreneur class to help his students refine their marketing plans and business concepts.
The day began with a marketing lecture on launching brands from Launch principals Diane Duncan and David Wilgus, followed by breakout sessions with SMU student teams. Each team was paired with a coach from Launch Agency who had 20 minutes to review their idea and provide feedback. Launch coaches included Launch Principal Michael Boone, Digital Director Alexandra Watson, Account Director Jason Giles, and Associate Creative Director Alex Slotkin.
“Every year students tell me the one-on-one concept feedback is one of their favorite parts of the course,” said John. “There’s nothing more valuable than having professionals who live and breathe brand launches sit with our students and talk through their ideas to help guide them to success.”

Baylor Scott & White Health, Launch Agency receive national recognition for Cancer Awareness campaign
Widely considered the nation’s most elite advertising competition of its kind, the Cancer Awareness Advertising (CAA) Awards is dedicated solely to the promotion of cancer products and services. Entries are judged by a panel of design and healthcare marketing professionals with decades of combined experience in creativity, layout/design, typography, production, quality, and overall effectiveness.
We were awarded a coveted Silver certificate in the Healthcare System Group, Total Advertising Campaigns, for the 2015 Oncology Campaign, “Fighters Wanted,” featuring actual patients, on behalf of Baylor Scott & White Health.
“We know patient empowerment is a critical element in the successful prevention, detection, and treatment of cancer,” said Taryn Pemberton, director of Service Line Marketing at Baylor Scott & White Health.
“Our goal was to capture the inner strength of these survivors and share it with the outside world,” added Launch Agency principal Diane Seimetz. “Less fear, more action, lives saved.”
The award-winning integrated campaign comprised print, magazine, out-of-home, and web banners, as well as terrestrial radio and Pandora streaming digital spots.
Launch Agency Goes for the Gold at 2016 ADDY Awards
This year, Launch Agency picked up nine trophies at the 2016 ADDY Awards, the annual event where advertising industry professionals gather to recognize and celebrate the best creative work of the season. The winning work included campaigns for Park Place Dealerships, a luxury automotive group; Daymark Living, a unique community for adults with special needs; Dallas Winds; the Town of Addison; and Baylor Scott & White Health, the largest not-for-profit healthcare system in Texas.
Among the wins, the Texas Rangers Triple Play invitation for Park Place captured gold in the Sales & Marketing category. A companion poster series also won gold in the Out-of-Home & Ambient Media category.
Launch also went on to take home six awards in the 10th District ADDY Awards, which are made up all AAF member agencies from Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana. Winning work included the Texas Rangers Triple Play invitation and poster series, the Addison Sweet Spot campaign, and the Daymark Living print ad.

Launch Scholarships Awarded at 2015 UNT Graduation
The 2015 Launch Scholarships were recently awarded at the University of North Texas Communication Design graduation ceremony. Students, family, faculty and friends attended the event in the gallery at the College of Visual Art and Design where Launch awarded $1,000 scholarships to the top junior design and art direction portfolios. This year’s winners were Bret Hawkins for graphic design and Kelsey Bauer for art direction. Congratulations to Bret and Kelsey!
