Baylor Scott & White Health, Launch Agency receive national recognition for Cancer Awareness campaign


Widely considered the nation’s most elite advertising competition of its kind, the Cancer Awareness Advertising (CAA) Awards is dedicated solely to the promotion of cancer products and services. Entries are judged by a panel of design and healthcare marketing professionals with decades of combined experience in creativity, layout/design, typography, production, quality, and overall effectiveness. We were awarded a coveted Silver certificate in the Healthcare System Group, Total Advertising Campaigns, for the 2015 Oncology Campaign, “Fighters Wanted,” featuring actual patients, on behalf of Baylor Scott & White Health. “We know patient empowerment is a critical element in the successful prevention, detection, and treatment of cancer,” said Taryn Pemberton, director of Service Line Marketing at Baylor Scott & White Health. “Our goal was to capture the inner strength of these survivors and share it with the outside world,” added Launch Agency principal Diane Seimetz. “Less fear, more action, lives saved.” The award-winning integrated campaign comprised print, magazine, out-of-home, and web banners, as well as terrestrial radio and Pandora streaming digital spots.

Texas Rangers Triple Play Posters


Every year, the Texas Rangers and Park Place Dealerships host the Triple Play Game Show Spectacular, a themed charity dinner featuring a star lineup from the Rangers’ roster. For this year’s “vintage circus” theme, Launch created a series of posters that cast the spotlight on these larger-than-life baseball players. The look and tone were heavily inspired by circus posters from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. And the designs proved a big hit, helping to bring a record number of attendees to the event, with signed posters raising extra charitable funds at the evening’s silent auction. One of the most gratifying parts of the project was when the Rangers requested another printed round of posters because the players wanted their own copies. It’s neat to think that these superstar athletes are going to have our artwork hanging in their homes! Art Director Carolyn Sexton had the opportunity to meet Derek Holland at this year’s event and he was extremely complimentary of the posters. “I could barely manage to mutter out a ‘thank you’ and was too star-struck to even get a picture with him,” says Carolyn.  “You live and learn. Launch Agency Receives Accolades in Graphis Advertising Annual


Launch Agency was included in the 2016 Graphis Advertising Annual for its poster campaign for Children’s Health during the State Fair of Texas. The campaign consisted of balloon renditions of petting zoo animals to capture the attention of children and parents alike. Since 1944, The International Journal of Visual Communication has been publishing significant and influential work of fine artists, illustrators and advertisers in the Graphis annual publication. Past creative pieces by Launch Agency featured in the Graphis publication include a ViewPoint bank print campaign, Launch’s summer internship program poster campaign and a Sam’s Club member cookbook.
